AAPI – American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin is based in USA, brings together Indian-American physicians to support health projects in India.

LOCAL ROADMAP OBJECTIVES

  1. Prepare for the AAPI Global Health Summit in Mumbai December 28-30, 2018
  2. Develop a “Local Roadmap for TB Free Locality” in 10 early adopters localities. A local Roadmap is a 50-70 page detailed document prepared by local experts on the strategy to make their locality TB free.
  3. Conduct field work for 100,000 population in the localities for Active Case Finding(ACF), awareness and TB notification using a standardised CETI intervention model and mobile app.

LOCAL ROADMAP PROCESS AND TIMELINE

Develop Teams – May 2018
Advisory Team: Local, national and international advocates
Strategic Team: Regional experts and leaders meet in-person and virtual meetings once every two weeks to craft the local roadmaps for their respective regions.
Field Team: Lead by a local NGO which will build capacity to conduct ACF within each locality.
NGO Training –  June 2018
To standardize implementation across multiple regions.
MOU signed with NGO – July 2018
Monthly  or  Bi-monthly  Strategy  team meetings for Local Roadmap Document development
Expert opinion from Advisory Team
Launch of TB Free Locality by an Inauguration program. Aug 2018
NGOs in each locality begin Active Case Finding  
Monitoring and Reporting of ACF using the CETI-ACF APP.
Local Roadmap Teams evaluate and draft a detailed document
