Tuberculosis (TB) continues to be a significant health concern in India, with millions of people affected by this infectious disease. To address the challenges posed by TB and enhance collaboration among stakeholders, the Tuberculosis Forum in India has emerged as a crucial platform. This forum brings together experts, healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers to foster innovative solutions and improve the overall management of TB.

The TB forum for Mysuru was conducted by Dr. Shiraz Ahmad, DTO Mysuru on 15th June 2023 in presence of the Mr.Rajendra K V, I A S, District Magistrate, Ms. Gayithri K.M, I A S, CEO ZP, Dr. Prasad K H, District Health Officer, Mysuru and the Stakeholders to address the agenda, do need-based analysis to understand the requirements of infrastructure, HR, equipment, technicians, estimate and support to meet the gaps to build the capacity for TB elimination.

The TB forum for Chamarajanagar was conducted by Dr. Ravikumar MS, DTO Chamarajanagar on 16th June 2023 in presence of the Mr.Ramesh D S, I A S, District Magistrate, Dr. Vishweswaraiah KM, District Health Officer, Chamarajanagar and the Stakeholders.
The way ahead for achieving TB Elimination was discussed in detail, to be implemented with support from all stakeholders present in the meeting.

The presence of the dignitaries, stakeholders, and officials brings in a comprehensive and multi-sectoral approach and solutions to overcome the challenges in view of TB elimination and strengthening the health systems.

The second TB forum of the year observes expansion in the scope and amendment in the format in the ownership of Dr. Shiraz Ahmad, and Dr. Ravikumar MS, under the leadership of Dr. Anil S., State Tuberculosis Officer Karnataka, and active participation of the NTEP Team of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, India.

CETI Team along with Dr Shiraz, DTO Mysuru met Dr Prasad KH, DHO Mysuru. Discussions regarding enhancing the scope of the TB Forum under the ongoing Comprehensive Approach using PDSA to Eliminate Tuberculosis (CAP-TB) Project were done and decisions were arrived at. CAP-TB in Mysuru & Chamarajanagar districts in Karnataka in association with the Ashraya Hastha Trust supported by Central TB Division, World Health Organisation, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI), and Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI, USA).
