Building a Local Roadmap

Local Roadmap for TB Free India – Local Roadmap for TB Free India is an initiative of RNTCP-CTD, AAPI, CETI, USAID and WHO to develop pilot programs to help cities/districts/villages become TB FREE. It hasÂ three components.Â

Develop a detailed strategicÂ Local Roadmap Plan for a given city/district/village
Conduct field work for Awareness, Notification and Active Case Finding or another field intervention for 1 million population with local NGO
Present findings at AAPI Global Health Summit on December 28-29. 2018 in Mumbai

LOCAL ROADMAP PROCESS AND TIMELINE

STEP 1

Develop TeamsÂ

Advisory Team: Local, national and international advocates

Strategic Team: Regional experts and leaders meet in-person and virtual meetings once every two weeks to craft the local roadmaps for their respective regions.

Field Team: Lead by a local NGO which will build capacity to conduct ACF within each locality.

To standardize implementation across multiple regions.

MonthlyÂ orÂ Bi-monthlyÂ StrategyÂ team meetings for Local Roadmap Document development

Expert opinion from Advisory Team

Launch of TB Free Locality by an Inauguration program.Â

NGOs in each locality begin Active Case FindingÂ Â

Monitoring and Reporting of ACF using the CETI-ACF APP.

STEP 8

Local Roadmap Teams evaluate and draft a detailed document

Review of local data and use for local decisions
Improving government sector
Engaging local private sector
Empowering the local community
Emboldening the local civil service organization
Informing the local media

Preparation by NGOs ( Field Team) and Local Strategy team to present in person or by Skype for the Global Health Summit.
