21st August 2021 was very eventful. It was an interactive session of Data Analysis with Dr. Neel Gandhi, Co-Director of Emory Tuberculosis Center as a guest speaker. The topics were TB, DRTB and Covid Epidemiology and Latent TB and it’s role in TB transmission. PDSA presentations by DTOs were also planned. The sessions were focussed upon “Learn the common elements Epidemiology of TB/Covid also How does the data help us “, Role of Active Case Finding, Contact Tracing, Latent TB in TB Free India. In this session some of the DTOs also interacted with Dr. Neel by querying some questions like why transmission of MDR TB is faster than DS TB, Closed contact of MDR TB and also post Covid-19 positive person required any prophylactic medication? Will current reduction in incidence of TB during covid due to wearing of mask have impact in future and will be helpful in achieving TB Elimination early? And so on. The DTOs presented their PDSAs and invited encouraging comments from all attendees.
