TB Mukt Gram Panchayat event at Kotthegala Higher Primary School | Mysuru

Nov 25, 2024

A TB Mukt Gram Panchayat event was successfully conducted at Kottegala Higher Primary School, H.D. Kote, Mysuru, coordinated by Assistant Consultant Dr. Ankita Mokashi. The event was graced by Taluk Health Officer Dr. Ravikumar, who highlighted CETI’s systematic approach to TB awareness—starting with IEC distribution, followed by door-to-door surveys to ensure comprehensive outreach.

Dr. Ravikumar also acknowledged CETI’s commitment to patient welfare through the Nikshay Mitra initiative, under which TB patients have been adopted and provided with nutritional food baskets to support their recovery.

CHO Neelarani addressed the gathering, shedding light on CETI and Ashraya Hastha Trust’s TB Mukt Gram Panchayat activities, emphasizing the importance of community participation in the fight against TB.

The event saw active participation from Assistant Consultant Dr. Ekta Negi and QIC Anupama, who contributed to an impactful school sensitization program. Students were educated on TB symptoms, treatment protocols, and the importance of early detection. The interactive Q&A session fostered engagement, ensuring that critical information was both understood and retained. To encourage participation, treats were distributed to the students, making learning both informative and enjoyable.

This initiative underscores the collective effort of CETI,AHT, NTEP, and local health authorities in driving community-led TB elimination and fostering a healthier, TB-free future.
