AAPI-CETI-EGHI Forum on How Quality Improvement and PDSA Cycle can Transform Healthcare in India

Healthcare is a three-legged stool: Easy Access, Low Cost, and High Quality. India has successfully achieved easy access to its Health and Wellness and primary health clinics. India has successfully achieved low costs for the patient by introducing of the Auyshman Bharat scheme. The greatest challenge India faces today and for this decade is Quality in health care.

AAPI and its local partner CETI, Collaboration for Elimination of TB have been working for the past five years in training the workforce in India on quality improvement. Most recently CETI has received a grant from USAID to train District TB officers across India.

On January 5th CETI with sponsorship from Emory’s Global Health Institute (Atlanta, USA) will hold a one-day leadership session to share, learn and discuss what tools and skill sets will be necessary to fill the healthcare quality gap in India beyond TB.
Objective:
Create a vision for quality improvement in India
Share the success of QI- PDSA training from TB
Introduce CETI’s innovative PDSA e-Tool ( electronic tool) to key leaders
Engage and network with key leaders in quality improvement
Publish a scientific publication on the vision and strategy for scaling up QI in India
