TB Forum was conducted at JSS Hospital’s Sri Rajendra Centenary Auditorium on 25th January 2024. It was chaired by the District Collector Dr.Rajendra K V. CEO of Zilla Parishad Smt. Gayathri K M attended the TB Forum Meeting. Discussion regarding playing awareness messages and jingles about TB at railway platforms happened. CETI will be providing the jingles and TB Champion videos. CETI’s CAP TB Project Director Commodore Raman Arora acknowledged the support provided by Assistant Labour Commissioner Ms.Naziya Sultana for her support in workplace screening for TB. He also urged all the Government and Non-Government institutions and industries to get workplace screening done. The District Collector emphasized on regular CMEs for Private Practitioners to receive notification data. He also reiterated the reporting of Nil cases by the private Practitioners. Noting the progress made by CAP TB methodology, the District Collector directed the DTO that the directives under the project should go on his letterhead to give more impetus to the progress being made. Discussion on conducting sensitization meetings for Private Practitioners and Pharmacists took place. DC directed the pharmacists to maintain the H1 schedule register and timely reporting. Discussion on moving towards the TB Mukt Gram Panchayat initiative was held.
