CETI’s CAP-TB (Comprehensive Approach using PDSA to Eliminate Tuberculosis) Project for TB Free Mysuru & Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, India

Comprehensively strengthening the health structures that can support the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP)

In India’s pursuit of TB elimination, a comprehensive approach stands as a powerful tool.
Multiple stakeholders can support the District Tuberculosis Officer by providing resources, expertise, and collaboration. The health sector can offer medical supplies and training, while the education sector can integrate TB education into curricula. Social welfare departments can assist with socioeconomic support, and the media can aid in awareness campaigns, amplifying the officer’s efforts.

Strengthening Stakeholder Relationships for TB Elimination through Field Visits was executed by the CETI project team in the month of June 2023 as part of the ongoing Comprehensive Approach using PDSA to Eliminate Tuberculosis (CAP-TB) Project in Mysuru & Chamarajanagar districts in Karnataka in association with the Ashraya Hastha Trust supported by Central TB Division, World Health Organisation, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) and Emory Global Health Institute (EGHI, USA).

The field visit was well-supported by Dr. Shiraz Ahmad, DTO Mysuru, and Dr. Ravikumar MS, DTO Chamarajanagar under the leadership of Dr. Anil S., STO Karnataka, and well-attended by the NTEP Team of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar, Karnataka, India.
