“We can all walk together towards better health and awareness to eliminate TB in India”- Gurudev on Eliminating TB from India
Collaboration to Eliminate Tuberculosis among Indians ( CETI ) successfully organized a virtual seminar on Igniting Hearts to Eliminate TB under the Guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in collaboration with Art of living, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Central TB Division, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, (AAPI), and Emory Global Health Institute, USA.
The innovative approach was designed and visioned by Dr. Manoj Jain and Dr. Salil Bhargava Co – Founders of Collaboration to Eliminate Tuberculosis Among Indians (CETI) and Commodore Raman Arora, Advisor to the organization.
Scheduled on January 25, 2023 via Zoom platform , the event was attended by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Hon’ble Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers of India and Dr. Rajendra P Joshi – DDG Central TB Division as special guest. Thousands of participants including Mission Directors (NHM) ,State Tuberculosis Officers (STOs), Chief Medical Health Officers (CMHO), District Tuberculosis Officers (DTOs) , national and international , NGOs, Presidents of Medical Associations and private practitioners along with grass root healthcare staff and volunteers joined the session.
Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar praised the health workers and medical staff members for their selfless determination to save lives in this country.
Emphasizing on the severity of the disease and current burden of disease amongst the productive population, Gurudev appealed to all to be vigilant of risk factors, seek appropriate and timely care and complete treatment.
He appreciated efforts that District TB Officers and NTEP staff put into management of disease at the grass root level, and urged people to come forward as TB champions to support the cause and The dream of TB Mukt Bharat..
He acknowledged the commitment of Dr. Manoj Jain (a Pravasi Bhati), and his relentless work , passion and efforts to eliminate TB and called upon all corporates , organizations and individuals to join hands and support TB patients as Ni-Kshay Mitra supported in eliminating the social determinants like nutrition associated with the disease.
He ensured his support to the Central, State and District authorities in fighting the disease and its elimination from the Country.”
