Mr. Kamal Kishore Chopra – Director New Delhi TB Centre was the guest discussant for the session on Delegation. The session focussed upon the significance of delegating the work to the subordinates in order to increase the overall efficiency of an organisation. The insecurities and apprehensions of a leader as also the pitfalls associated with delegation were also discussed and highlighted. Case studies and polls to garner DTO views were also conducted.
Dr Chopra, sharing his thoughts on delegation and brought out the practical aspects of delegation in the TB Program. He highlighted the aspects of authority, responsibility, appreciation and rotation of duties whilst delegating. He enumerated the kind of duties that could be delegated by a DTO as also how to monitor and supervise the delegated duties.
