As part of the leadership series, on 10 Jul 21, Mr K Dinesh (Co-founder of Infosys) interacted with the DTOs. Through his life story he conveyed the significance of core values to drive a team’s mission and vision. He highlighted that authenticity was an all encompassing leadership quality and that strong core values in a team help surpass many material shortcomings. A leader may not be all knowledgeable or qualified but as long as he approaches the objective with authenticity, the entire team would rise to the occasion and respond. Responding to a specific query, if it was in the interest of a leader to project his team member, he opined that an authentic leader would always outshine the organisation. Highlighting the concept of PDSA in the corporate world he conveyed that PDSA is a second nature of a leader. He gave his own example of how he conducted PDSA and established the root cause of the problem to come up with the idea of mobile ambulances along with Dr Devi Shetty.
